This Privacy Policy explains how ApplyAI (“ApplyAI,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use our resume analysis service. ApplyAI compares resumes with job descriptions and provides AI-generated feedback.

Depending on how you use ApplyAI, we may process:

• Account information: such as your email address and authentication information.
• Resume content: information in PDF resumes you submit, which may include your name, contact details, education, employment history, skills, and other information you choose to include.
• Job descriptions: job posting text you submit for comparison.
• Usage and account data: such as your plan and number of analyses used.
• Billing information: subscription and transaction-related information associated with ApplyAI Pro. Payment card information is handled by our payment processor rather than entered directly into ApplyAI.
• Technical information: limited information necessary to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and protect the service, which may include IP-address-related information and request data.

We use information to provide resume analysis; authenticate users; maintain accounts and usage limits; administer ApplyAI Pro subscriptions; prevent abuse; maintain reliability; and respond to support, privacy, or account requests.

When you request an analysis, relevant resume and job-description content is processed using an AI service to generate results. Avoid submitting information unnecessary for the analysis, particularly highly sensitive personal information.

AI-generated results may be incomplete or incorrect and should be reviewed before use.

ApplyAI currently relies on Supabase for authentication and application data, Stripe for subscription billing, OpenAI for AI-powered analysis, and Vercel for application hosting and deployment. These providers may process information as necessary to provide their services and are subject to their own terms and privacy practices.

Resume content is submitted to perform the requested analysis. ApplyAI is not intended to function as permanent resume storage. Account and application information may be retained as reasonably necessary to operate the service, maintain accounts, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and enforce agreements. Third-party provider retention may be governed by their applicable settings, agreements, and legal obligations.

Stripe provides subscription checkout and billing management. Stripe may collect payment details, billing information, and transaction information. ApplyAI may receive identifiers and subscription status needed to provide the correct account access.

We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information to service providers that operate ApplyAI, when required by law or valid legal process, to protect users or the service, or as part of a permitted business transaction.

We use reasonable measures designed to protect information handled by ApplyAI. No internet service, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. You are responsible for protecting your account credentials.

You may contact us about your information or account. Depending on where you live, applicable law may provide rights to access, correct, or delete certain personal information. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.

ApplyAI is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly seek to collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information inappropriately.

Our service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live, and information may therefore be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions.

We may update this Privacy Policy as ApplyAI changes. We may update the effective date above when changes are made.
